Solido™ Simulation Suite (Solido Sim)
Candidate for:2024 World Electronics Achievement Awards - EDA/IP/Software
Solido™ Simulation Suite, (“Solido Sim” software) featuring AI-accelerated SPICE and FastSPICE engines, represents a significant leap forward in analog/mixed signal IC simulation technology, providing unmatched accuracy and efficiency for chip design and verification engineers targeting custom IC designs.

When it comes to analog/mix signal IC simulation, what matters most are time and accuracy. To this end, Solido Sim provides a 2-30x speedup for analog, mixed-signal, RF and 3D IC verification. Further, initial Solido Sim customers have experienced remarkable success across multiple processes technology platforms, all while demonstrating faster runtimes and enabling compelling new capabilities for their next-generation analog, RF, mixed-signal and library IP designs.

Solido™ Simulation Suite software is an integrated suite of AI-accelerated SPICE, Fast SPICE and mixed-signal simulators designed to help customers dramatically accelerate critical design and verification tasks for their next-generation analog, mixed-signal and custom IC designs.

Built on the foundation of Siemens’ industry-proven, foundry-certified Analog FastSPICE (AFS) platform, Solido Sim incorporates three innovative new simulators: Solido™ SPICE software, Solido™ FastSPICE software and Solido™ LibSPICE software, as well as Siemens’ market-proven AFS platform, ELDO™ software and Symphony™ software.

In summary--the challenges of designing an analog/mixed-signal SoC or chiplet with shrinking process nodes continue to grow, demanding higher capacity circuit simulations and even integration with other analysis tools. This year Siemens EDA launched three new circuit simulators in (“Solido Sim”) that span a spectrum from SPICE accurate to libraries to the largest netlists, and the early customer results show dramatic speed improvements while maintaining accuracy. Integration with tools for EM/IR, ESD and 3D IC make these new simulators even more valuable. Many EDA vendors launch a new circuit simulator once every 3-5 years, but Siemens debuted three new circuit simulators all at one time this year.
