50MP CMOS Image Sensor GC50B2
Candidate for:2024 World Electronics Achievement Awards - Sensor
The GC50B2 is a 50-Mega-pixel CMOS image sensor with a pixel size of 1μm and an optical size of 1/1.56’’. It supports Remosaic mode to output 50-Mega-pixel resolution, or binning output 12.5-Mega-pixel images with 2μm merged pixel size, delivering images with richer details in low-light environments. This sensor supports 60FPS 4K video shooting and is suitable for mid-to-high-end smartphone cameras.

Based on GalaxyCore's Single-Wafer High-Resolution integration technology platform, the GC50B2 is produced with Pixel Array and Circuit both on a single wafer, making it the world's first 1μm Single-Wafer 50-Mega-pixel image sensor. It features GalaxyCore's DAG HDR technology, which utilizes high analog gain for darker areas to enhance clarity and texture, and low analog gain for bright areas to prevent overexposure. This technology ensures richly detailed images with no ghosting at lower power consumption during preview, photo, and video capture.
Additionally, the GC50B2 is equipped with phase detection autofocus technology, ensuring rapid focus lock in fast-moving or low-light conditions.
