Candidate for: 2024 World Electronics Achievement Awards - Outstanding Innovative Company of the year
SemiDrive Technology is a leader in full-scenario intelligent automotive chips, providing high-performance, high-reliability automotive-grade chips for central computing and zonal control electronic and electrical architectures. These solutions cover areas such as intelligent cockpits and intelligent vehicle control.
The core team members of SemiDrive have nearly 20 years of experience in mass-producing automotive-grade chips. They form one of the few fully integrated international teams in China capable of defining, developing, and mass-producing automotive-grade chip products. SemiDrive's core IP is independently designed, with over 270 proprietary intellectual property rights globally, covering key core technologies of automotive-grade processors.
All series of SemiDrive's chip products have been mass-produced, with a shipment volume exceeding 5 million pieces. The company has over 200 designated projects and serves more than 260 customers, covering over 90% of domestic OEMs and some international mainstream automakers including SAIC, Chery, Changan, Dongfeng, FAW, Nissan, Honda, Volkswagen, Li Auto and more.
Technology and Product Innovation
In April 2024, SemiDrive launched the “1+N” central computing + zonal control architecture. This architecture features one central computing unit (CCU) to provide concentrated computing power for automotive intelligence, paired with multiple (N) flexible and configurable zonal controllers (ZCU) to meet the needs of different vehicle models.

Under the “1+N” architecture, SemiDrive officially released the pioneering central computing processor X9CC. The X9CC is a multicore heterogeneous computing platform designed for central computing, offering up to 200 KDMIPS of computing power. It integrates various high-performance computing cores in a single chip, including 24 Cortex-A55 CPUs, 12 Cortex-R5F CPUs, 2 NPUs, 4 GPUs, 4 Vision DSPs, and a Crypto engine supporting national cryptographic algorithms. The X9CC single chip can support the operation of up to six independent systems, including entertainment navigation, LCD instrumentation, central gateway, intelligent driving, intelligent vehicle control, and information security. Depending on software deployment, the X9CC can flexibly configure each computing core across different systems, allowing for the reasonable allocation of computing resources.

Simultaneously, to address the diverse configuration needs of zonal controllers (ZCU) under the new-generation EE architecture, SemiDrive also introduced a new generation of MCU product family for zonal controllers. This product family includes I/O-rich, control-fusion, and compute-intensive types, targeting core application scenarios such as body control, cross-domain integration of body + chassis + power, and super power domain control. The E3650 isSemiDrive’s flagship zonal controller chip product, featuring the latest ARM Cortex R52+ high-performance lockstep multicore cluster, supporting virtualization, with non-volatile memory (NVM) up to 16MB, large-capacity SRAM, and more abundant peripheral resources. This product addresses current pain points in vehicle electrical architecture design, supporting the implementation of higher integration and wider configuration of vehicle electronic and electrical architecture.
