Senior/Principal Analyst, Automotive Semiconductor

Job Description

This service is focused on semiconductor components used in Industrial, Computational and Automotive applications within China. With the government directive to rapidly enhance semiconductor capabilities within China there has been a rapid increase in the number of domestic manufacturers and the capabilities of these manufacturers.

This service strives to provide a comprehensive set of information analysis of the key manufacturing capabilities and technologies that clients, both domestic and multinational, can utilize in developing and sizing strategic power management market opportunities.

Role

- As the industry transitions to China the analyst is expected to expand their clients and contacts to develop market insights and provide clients actionable insights in dealing with a new ecosystem that is being supported by local and regional governments.

- Coordination of Informa Tech strategy for the Semiconductor pillar with internal partners within the division, including effective collaboration and growth initiatives that leverage combined strengths in Research, Events, Media, and Training.

Responsibilities

• Bi-annual Market Tracker detailing current events within the auto semiconductor market segment within China.
  
  

• Bi-annual Market Tracker detailing the current state of the Automotive market in China.
  
  

• Quarterly key insights on Semicondutor components used in the Domestic Automotive &, Industrial markets.
  
  

• Working with the global semiconductor research team to focus on developing an in-depth database covering the major auto semiconductor suppliers in China.
  
  

• Sales and service support for key customers.
  
  

• Consulting project support as required.
  
  

• Provide quarterly presentation material used.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  
  

• Experience working in a semiconductor company preferably in Marketing related experience, strong market knowledge and technical expertise in Semiconductor pillar
  
  

• Technology or electronics experience and/or interest is a plus
  
  

• Ability to develop and deliver databases used for broad market analysis
  
  

• Communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across groups
  
  

• English language ability desirable
